We are a Licensed Tour Operator: an organization of individuals conducting a commercial enterprise - authorized by the government with a legal license - with the purpose of carrying on some legitimate business in the Travel Industry. Copy of our: License | Insurance.

Only Tour Operators are authorized to combines tour and travel components to create a holiday.
Tour Operators have their competence in arranging tours for those who do not have time to do DIY (Do It Yourself) holidays. Also, tour operators still exercise contracting power with suppliers (hotels, tour packages, various land arrangements such as: excursions, shore excursions) and influence over other entities (tourism boards and other government authorities) in order to create packages and special departures for destinations otherwise difficult and expensive to visit.
 

A Tour Operator pay taxes and all local Government fees, and Italian law requires the issuance of an invoice upon payment, thus inhibiting illegal business via the black market.
 

HOWEVER, the advent of the internet has led to a rapid increase in self-packaging of holidays and unfortunately, has also increased numbers of not-legal-companies –available in the cyber-world—who have not the competence and the authorization to operate as a Tour Operator:

-They ask you to Pay Cash on the spot | We ask you to Pay by Credit Card using our secure payment system;
-They do not issue any Invoice (and they do not pay taxes because they are not LEGAL) | We are forced to issue the Invoice;

-They are able to reduce the rate of 21% | We cannot do it because the 21% are the Italian Taxes necessary to issue invoices;

-They are not a Legal Travel Company | We are a Legal Travel Company and because of it we pay the RC (Liability Travel Insurance);

RECAP: they ask you to pay cash, they do not issue any invoice, they have not any Government authorization to provide LAND SERVICES and in case of accidents or matters YOU ARE COVERED BY NOTHING.

Q: Who is a Tour Operator?

Q: Who is a Local Guide?
R: are the only professionals -- with a Regional license -- permitted to conduct visits in all sites and museums within a city.

Q: Can a Local Guide provide Tours and Travel Package?
R: no because they are not authorized.

Q: Who is NCC Driver?
R: are the only professional drivers -- with a Regional NCC license -- permitted to move you within a city or from one city to another.

Q: Can a Coach/Vehicle/NCC company provide Tours and Travel Package?
R1: no because they are not authorized.
R2: yes if they received the business through a Travel Agent or Tour Operator.

Q: Who is a Driver Guide?
R: are Driver Escort or private chauffeurs specialized to drive you around the island. They are able to provide basic historical information, they can show you the main highlights.  The Driver Guide are not Local Guide and because of it they cannot escort you inside the monuments because this is not allowed by Italian Rules.

Q: Can Tradizione Turismo provide a Car/Van with Driver Guide?
R: yes we can because we have the License to do it & the permission to provide tourist packages.

Q: Can a Cyber-Website provide Tours and Travel Package?
R1: no because they are not authorized.
R2: yes if they work on behalf of a Licensed Tour Operator BUT they have to specify in their web-site who is the responsible of the travel organization.
