TOUR OF SICILY: Especially for Vegetarian People HOME

Tour of Sicily 9nights/10days: 2009
(9 nights/810 days):
This tour is PRIVATE, especially designed for Lactovegetarians, organized using an English speaking driver escort. Clients must visit monuments unaccompanied. The driver escort provides basic historical information to prepare clients to visit sites independently, but is not a licensed local guide (and by Italian Law cannot accompany clients inside sites). If clients need the Licensed Local Guide, they must pay a surcharge and we will arrange for local guide to meet them directly on the spot.

IMPORTANT: Vegetarian diets are rapidly gaining in popularity. They can reduce the risk of many common diseases, promote weight loss, and help the environment.

SICILY is the correct place to go and it is the correct place where you can enjoy a mix between the Vegetarian and Mediterranean Diet.

The American Dietetic Association (ADA) classifies vegetarians more specifically in different  ways but we are going to design this tour based on Lactovegetarians and Lacto-ovovegetarians.

FYI, as follows you will find how the ADA selected the Vegetarians all around the world:

-Vegans or strict vegetarians exclude all animal products (e.g. meat, poultry, fish, eggs, milk, cheese, and other dairy products). Many vegans also do not eat honey.

-Lactovegetarians exclude meat, poultry, fish, and eggs but include dairy products.

-Lacto-ovovegetarians exclude meat, poultry, and fish but include dairy products and eggs. Most vegetarians in the US are lacto-ovovegetarians.
