Some feedback as requested: We loved the tour and Sicily is gorgeous! Taormina is of course truly wonderful, but I also found the Godfather element to be fun too. Being in a small group we were able to get a  real sense of the peace and quiet underlying the beauty of Savoca and I thought the tour was quite evocative of the scenes in the Godfather 1 where Michael Corleone is wiling away time hidden away in Sicily. Bar Vitelli was great, we were the only ones there and we were all pleasantly surprised at how unchanged it was.
The booking process with yourselves was excellent, very professional and gave me real confidence that the tour would be all that you said it would be, which was important as unlike the other some of the other tours we had to pay in full in advance with yourselves.
Our driver was excellent and I really enjoyed his company. His English is excellent and he is a really nice guy who is a great advert for Sicilians!
We will certainly recommend this tour and  your company to others. We are really looking forward to coming back to Sicily for an extended stay at some point.

We had a two-stop holiday in Sicily in July 2012 and needed to move from Palermo to Taormina - this private transfer was the perfect solution. It was easy to book and the communication with Tradizione Turismo by Chat & Tour was excellent pre-departure. Our guides Vincenzo and Marco were warm, informative and entertaining over the whole day, and we learnt and saw so much in just a few hours, particularly about Sicilian food, economy, culture, politics and day to day life. The transport was excellent and we were well looked after, and had one of the best meals of our time in Sicily following their recommendation. The temples and the Villa Romana del Casale were amazing and you are given enough time to enjoy them. At the temples we bought a guide for our iPhone which was very helpful. From the Villa we went straight to our hotel in Taormina - a beautiful journey and a lovely start to the rest of our holiday.

Salvatore was perfect.  He adjusted the tour a little to show us some things we were interested in and allow us to do a little shopping at the ideal place.  That he wasn’t a “licensed tour guide” made no difference for us, he knows everything about Palermo and the surrounding areas and we didn’t need him to walk us around Segesta or the Cathedrals.  10 out of 10.

All the hotels were wonderful and full of charm.  The staff at each was helpful and friendly.  Especially in Agrigento, Francesco the owner is such a dear man and makes certain that each guest has what they need and want in order to have a perfect visit.  The sites we visited were lovely and very educational, and exciting.  Mt Etna even blew ashes on us our last day in Taormina! 
Most importantly we want to thank you for Silvia as our driver guide.  Her driving skills are amazing and she is so sweet and kind and brilliant!  Her incredible knowledge of the history and details of everywhere we ventured was phenomenal and enhanced our experience immensely!  She was particularly helpful and a blessing to us in our journey to Siculiana, the birthplace of my husband's grandfather.  We were delighted to find that the City Hall was open when she took us there and explained to the staff why we wanted to visit their town.  They seemed excited that we were there and they were all so helpful!  They looked through several of their very old record books and eventually were successful in locating the birth records for my husband's grandfather.  I can't express the joy we felt at this discovey!  There was also a small amount of additional information of my husband's great-grandparents.  This was beyond what we had ever hoped for.  Silvia then located the street in Siculiana where our ancestors had lived and we went together to walk on the same street as our family had done over 100 years before us.   Silvia was very conscientious about taking care of our special wants and needs.  For example giving us advice in  locating decks of Briscola cards for my husband to bring back for his brothers. :-)  We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Silvia and appreciated all she did for us.
Valeria, we will forever be indebted to you and Germana for the care you took in creating this stupendous worry--free experience for us to give as our graduation gift to our daughters. They said they felt a sense of belonging in Sicily after seeing their great grandfather's records and walking along the streets of his home. They are very proud of their heritage and my husband and I are very proud or and thankful for them.  After leaving Sicily, we visited several cities throughout Italy and France.  Although we thoroughly enjoyed seeing those places and making new friends along the way, it will our wonderful experience in Sicily that will forever shine in our memory as the best!
We are hopeful that someday we will be able to return to your lovely country and when we do, we will be sure to be contacting you to help us make another fabulous experience!

The day we spent with Vincenzo was delightful. It was the perfect way to traverse Sicily and see the sights. He was a charming guide who shared a lot of information about the culture of Sicily, the people, the politics, the society. He was well traveled and had good insights to share. This is very enlightening for foreigners who want to learn about another culture.
We met a guide in Agrigento who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history and we learned so much from him as well. We shared a delightful lunch at a local family owned trattoria, and then we headed to Piazza Armerina and saw the mosaics at the Roman villa. I would have liked to have a guide there, it would have been more interesting, though it was quite beautiful and we were happy to have seen it.
Then on to Taormina, the highlight of our visit to Sicily.
I would highly recommend this service, it was professional, comfortable, interesting and a lot of fun.

I would like to write a glowing review of the fabulous week we spent on the tour of Sicily (4/28-5/4/12)- starting in Palermo and ending up in Taormina. 
We LOVED our tour guide, Josephina!  Her English was fabulous, and she has the best sense of humor.  She taught us so much in the short time we spent with her.  All of us on the tour that week adored her!  She’s a treasure to have her working for you as she represents your company and Sicily so well!  It’s obvious how much she loves her country.  She said she has been working doing this for many years, and yet she remains SO enthusiastic.  The historical sites we saw were breathtaking, and the places, the winery, the olive oil factory and luncheon were truly great.  Also would like to give kudos to Francesco who took us on our Mt. Etna trip, that was another day I’ll always remember.

I was about to post this write-up on TripAdvisor.  Let me show you first!

"We would be surprised if you could find better…

My wife and I (late 70s) went on Monday on the Best of Sicily trip “Erice, Salt Flats, Olive Oil Farm, Segesta & Winery”.  We were the only two clients, and Josephine was there to meet us exactly on time and with a very comfortable Fiat van.  Lots of headroom;  easy to get in and out;  comfortable seats;  good views.
Josephine is a welcoming guide who clearly loves her job.  She speaks good English, is very knowledgeable and cares a lot about her guests.  She is also an excellent driver.
The tour itself is well planned and seemed just right for us.  We were lucky that there were very few tourists in Erice, and the weather was warm and clear, so we saw everything at its best.
The visits to the Olive Oil Farm was fascinating and the “light lunch” was plentiful and delicious. Wonderful chance to sample different types and grades of olive oil.  It makes you curse the 100ml limit on liquids when flying!
Then came Segesta with a long but easy climb up to the temple, which is in fine condition and commands wonderful views.
Finally the winery – what a joy!  Small, family-run winery producing predominantly reds, some of which are on sale in specialist merchants in the UK, USA, Canada, Russia and many other countries. Several well-deserved awards and reviews.  It was so nice to sit down with the wine maker and his niece – just two of the family members involved – and discuss and sample the wines.
Then the drive back to Palermo, where Josephine went out of her way to deliver us very close to where we are staying – a kind gesture that rounded off the day beautifully.
We would be very hard pushed to think of any aspect of the tour we did not like.  If you have one like ours it will be a trip you will always remember.  Thank  you Josephine – you are a great ambassador for your company."

Our guide Mr. Vincenzo is really great guide, good driver, historian and told us everything about Sicily very well.
If I have chance to visit Sicily again in the near future I will defenetelly want to go with Mr. Vincenzo again.

This was a wonderful trip; great organization, lovely country and above all great people.  The whole experience could not be more professional and fun.
Germana made the booking process so easy with her quick email replies.  Our tour guides Giuseppina and Sylvia were so knowledgeable, helpful, fun and pleasant in every way!!  Hotel accommodations, restaurants and the visits to the different landmarks in Sicily were absolutely amazing. And a very big thanks for Giuseppina for being such a great and safe driver.
We also booked the 1 day Jeep excursion to Mount Etna which was fabulous and a very big thank you for Francesco who led this great off-road experience and also being a great driver.

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. We had an absolutely wonderful day with Chat & Tour's Lesley (our English-speaking guide) and Salvatore (our driver). They were both excellent and utterly professional. 
We asked Lesley a lot of questions. She was very helpful, knowledgeable, patient, upbeat and friendly. We also really liked the place we went for lunch (the converted antique railroad station.) It was the best meal of our 16-day vacation. The people of Corleone were friendly and helpful, but without Lesley, it would have been a disaster. We don't speak much Italian and they didn't speak much English.
We will certainly recommend your services to any of our friends who plan to go to Sicily but let me know if there are any online review sites where I can recommend you to a wider audience. I'd be more than happy to.

Of course we all enjoyed your Sicilian food and wine, and will talk for a long time about the "light lunches" en route.  You run a great tour in a wonderful part of the world and we would recommend it to anyone.
Our big disappointment is that we didn't get to meet you - you will have to come to Australia some time.

Got back from Rome last night and had a beautiful trip.  My experience in Taormina was great.  My daughter and I adored the cooking class.
Angelo, the owner and cook was just amazing.  In the morning we went to the market and then we came back and we cooked.  We were only 4 people in the class which was perfect.  What I loved was that we did the cooking ourselves.  We cooked lots of food and we leave with the recipes.  After cooking we sit down and eat all we cooked.  Angelo serves us some white and red wine from Sicily.  He is very good at talking about the history of Sicily and why the food is a mix of different cultures.  He is very good at it and puts his heart in his work.  Would do it again and would refer friends to take that class.

We have just returned from our extended trip to Italy after our Sicilian tour in September and we just wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had on our Best of Sicily tour. 
First of all, our tour guide Valentina was excellent.  She was knowledgeable, patient, pleasant  and kind.   We lost some camera equipment in Taormina and she made a few phone calls to help us, which went beyond her duties. Although we did not recover our equipment, her efforts were greatly appreciated.  Our driver to Mt. Etna, Francesco was fantastic.  He answered all of our questions and took us to some very special unexpected places.  Our driver, Giuseppe was extremely pleasant and helpful.  He is a true gentlemen.  One of our local guides, Giovanni was also wonderful.  Also our local guide in Palermo ( I don't remember her name) was very helpful and knowledgeable.  We loved every town and location that we visited.  The time went by so quickly.  We also bonded very well with our Australian fellow travelers and have already been in contact with them since the trip.
Thank you for everything.  All was planned out very well and allowed us special time at each place that we visited.  Thank you, Valeria for all of your hard work getting us to all the places that we needed to get to, before and after our tour.  You should be very proud of all of your staff, but then you are an excellent role model for them.  Thanks to everyone involved in making our trip so memorable and thank you for always answering our questions and concerns prior to leaving on our tour.  I would highly recommend your company to anyone!

We just returned from our trip which ended with our Best of Sicily Tour.  Our tour began in Palermo, Saturday, September 10.
We were a little apprehensive about this tour.  We usually make our own plans and follow our own schedule. 
But I want you to know that our first tour experience was fabulous!!!
We had a group of 11 and immediately became very close and great friends.  The Hotel Opera and Villa Diodoro were perfect in terms of location and amenities.  We loved the small, air conditioned bus and appreciate and thank Alessandro for his excellent and professional driving. 
But the Best part of Best of Sicily was Giusy.  She was so knowledgeable, friendly, accomodating and kind.  There's no way we could have seen and learned so much about Sicily without her.  She made all the hassles of keeping 11 people together and on-time seem easy.  She was always calm and smiling.  And she even organized a little "Birthday party" for me following our lunch at Agrigento.  I was very touched and grateful.
We can't thank you, Alessandro and especially Guisy enough for a remarkably smooth, interesting, enjoyable and very memorable visit to fabulous Sicily.

Hi - we're back. It was a very good trip. Needless to say that Capri was beautiful & relaxing and that the food & wine were superb. Sicily was wonderful. We never anticipated seeing so much and learning so much as we had no idea about the history of the Island. It was a terrific experience. Vincenzo was a great guide & teacher and very accommodating. It was a pleasure being with him. The hotels were good, our least favorite was in Palermo even though the room was lovely the hotel was tired. Our two criticisms about the trip was that we could have stayed in Palermo one day less and used that time somewhere else and, the guide who showed us the caves, we think in Syracusa, was not overly charming as he was knowledgeable. As compared for example to the guide who showed us the ceramic tiles in the Palazzo who was unique, fantastic, enthusiastic & fun. Another comment is that the van could have been more comfortable. When you're ready to buy another I would recommend looking into the vans that have adjustable seating, DVD players where you could show disks about Sicily and maintain more drinks & snacks. 
Please do not misconstrue any of our comments to suggest that we did not like the experience. We did!  And we will most certainly recommend your services to our friends. Vincenzo was terrific! We wish that  could speak Italian half as good as he speaks English. Our very best to him and thank you for a well planned trip.

I want to thank you for the tour in Sicily to Compofelice di Fitalia.  Our guide introduced himself to us at the airport.  I am sorry to say that even thought there were three of us traveling together, we all heard a different name.  I am not sure who I am complimenting--Gaspar, Jasper, or Casper.  Whatever his name really is, we thought he was wonderful.  My grandson said, "It was not like we had a driver taking us there but a good friend."  He was extremely accomodating, explained the climate and countryside, and offered us information on the village.  He even stopped some men on the street to ask if they were familiar with the family name.  The men explained to my grandson what they thought might have happened to change the name from  the original Italian version to the American version he knew.  He was very touched.  Of course, the driver translated the information for us.  It was an unforgettable afternoon.  Thank you again for your help in making our trip to Sicily so special.  Please tell our driver how much we appreciated his kindness, information, and help in understanding our difficulty with the language.

In addition to just giving us information, she also explained a lot on the culture history and politics of Sicily. We had a wonderful time. Josephino  was an excellent guide she covered so many sites both in and around Palermo which we thoroughly enjoyed.  When we arrived back at the cruise ship and talked to fellow passengers we found that we saw so much more and at a much more  relaxed environment than had we taken any of the tours offered by the cruise ship. Josephino's knowledge and itinerary brought to life all the wondersd and special places in a Port that we were not expecting too much from.
I will post a review on Trip Advisor, but as we are still travelling find it difficult to spare the time to get all reviews on promptly.

I wanted you to know that Chef Ardizzone Narciso at Licchio's restaurant was so wonderful!  We learned a lot from him and he was very charming and helpful.  The restaurant owner and sous chef were kind and solicitous too.  We had a great experience and would heartily recommend this experience to anyone else who is thinking of taking a cooking class.  The food was made from wonderfully fresh ingredients and tasted divine!  It was especially helpful that we were given the recipes to take home for the desserts we created that day.
Our taxi driver, Joseph, was also memorable.  He answered all our questions about the island and gave us historical details as well, which made our car ride personal and enjoyable.  
We were so happy with all of your recommendations.  It made our vacation one of the best ones we have taken; thank you for accommodating our tight schedule.

I just returned from one of the best vacations ever! We spent 8 days in Sicily and saw practically the whole island. We arranged a tour through Best of Sicily Tours and they did a great job. Valy put together a great itinerary. She even came to introduce herself in the beginning of the trip and called at the end to make sure everything went smoothly! That is outstanding customer service. We had a great driver, Vincenzo. He did a great job and accomodated everyone's requests. His English was great and he knew so much about Sicily. He really made the trip go smoothly. He made sure everyone was happy. We also had excellent tour guides in Palermo, Agrigento, Syracuse and Catania. We stayed three nights in Palermo, two in Syracuse and three nights in Taormina. We flew into Palermo and out of Catania.
Some of the highlights:
Monreale and all of the Duomos in Cefalu, Ragusa, Taormina, Syracuse.
The Mt. Etna tour, which included a lunch, was by the way one of the best meals of the trip. The cook was in her seventies and made all of the food herself.
The countryside was incredible. We went to visit the village where our ancestors were from and that was great.
The hospitality of the people was wonderful. Everyone was helpful and courteous even though we spoke very little Italian. The servers at restaurants and our hotels were outstanding. They really wanted to make sure you were happy. People would go out of there way to help. One elderly lady even walked 10 minutes out of her way to show us where we wanted to be.
The wines! Excellent wines at great prices.
The food and pastries. My favorite dish was Pasta with Anchovies. Of course the cannoli's were great. Some were made with cow's milk and others with goats milk.
The history and diversity of Sicily. Learning about the history was incredible and made me want to learn more.
The landscape, from olive, orange, lemon and nut trees to all of the wildflowers and vineyards.
The panoramic views of Taormina and Mt. Etna.
Hotel Via Carlotta and its sister hotel Hotel Ducale in Taormina. The views and breakfast was incredible! Their in house restaurants for dinner were great too.
Our tour guide Rosa in Syracuse. She was outstanding. She really was engaging and knew her history. The other guides were great also, but Rosa was a 10+.

Your itinerary was terrific.  The spacing of the visits and the mix between structure and leisure time achieved just the right balance. Your flexibility in taking us to Castelveltrano to see the how black bread was made is very much appreciated.  Sebastiano’s lunch was some delicious. If that was a “light” lunch, I can only imagine what a “heavy” meal must be.
We remain impressed with your innovative and creative Business Model.  All of the tours were first rate and the full day excursions were absolutely excellent. Of course the fact that we were lucky to have “Spring” like weather was a major added benefit.  There is an expression in American English that states that “it is better to be lucky than to be smart”.
Summary:
This one of the best, perhaps the best vacation trip we have taken.  Everything worked out as planned.  Your ability to successfully coordiante all the transportation, hotel accommodations, and tour guides is top flight, very professional while at the same time low key and relaxing.  We very much appreciated your commentary, Vincenzo, during the travel time. Jackie and Rosa were excellent tour guides and I highly commend them for their energy, knowledge and ability to communicate.
The Cities we visited are so different form each other it is difficult to compare, all have their own special and unique charm  I think starting in Palermo, trveling through Agrigento onto Siracusaa and Ortigia Island and completing the trip in Taormina was ideal for us.
I should not forget to add that, as you know, Patricia and I do not like crowds.  As a result having Erice virtually to ourselves was an incomparable experience.  Even Taormina was truly quiet.  We were as pleased as you can imagine
Valeria I appreciated your phone call greatly.  It was great to hear the voice behind the computer.  In addition your suggestion to not spend more time than appropriate in Agrigento was right on the mark.
The food was fabulous.  I know I am exaggerating when I say that it is not possible to get a bad meal or a bad glass of wine in Sicily but it certainly seemed that way.
We are already planning our next visit.
I am sure as soon as I send this out there I will remember something.

This email is so looonnnggg overdue.  I console myself that I am sending it out before the year is over.  The 4 of us did finally manage to meet up for dinner in Nov, no thanks to some of my traveling companions’ hot social calendar .... Glad that you had such great weather in Boston. Sunshine in Dec ! You must have brought the Sicilian weather with you for sure.  Dec has been good, getting into the holiday spirit, preparing for Christmas and all.  Though I am still getting over this morning’s last minute shopping. I actually felt fear when I saw the crowds and long queues and this is from someone who is used to crowds.
Once again, I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to you for helping us put together a wonderful trip at short notice. I am so glad I found your company on the net (the Best of Sicily website is a good link and "recommender"). You and Vincenzo have done a terrific job.  From the promptness of your replies to your thoroughness and friendliness, it was a joy dealing with you from the start. Thanks to Alessendra too for her cheerful greetings every time I call.  We had loads of fun in Sicily and take away many fond memories.  I can't believe its been 3 months since the trip. 10 days of great sights, food, wine and company followed by 2 days of all-out blissful SHOPPING.  That’s the life !  I would have liked to spend a bit more time wandering around Palermo and visiting some of the islands. Maybe next time ...our guides at the sites were very knowledgeable and gave us loads of information. They made the ancient Greeks (I had forgotten all about Doric, Ionian and Corinthian columns), Romans, Carthaginians and Byzantines come alive in those few days.  We had fun with Anita at the Palermo market and at lunch. Antonio was super diligent in explaining and telling us the history of everything from beginning to end. I am glad we managed to squeeze in a whirlwind visit to the Archaeological museum in Siracusa which I think is a “must do”.   
Last but not least, the trip would not have been the same without Vincenzo and Davide who made all the difference. They are remarkably hardworking people with a wonderful sense of humour who went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. They were great company to have on the trip and to top it off, none of us had to drive and find parking etc Yeah !  
Vincenzo – you are a wealth of knowledge and information. Thanks for your patience and help in securing Ai Chen her prized 2004 Mille Notte at a fantastic price (it was over S$300 in a restaurant here !) and Boon Kiat her “el cheapo” power charger. First time I’ve seen something like that.  
Davide – thanks for organizing the great evening out in Ortegia, making the reservation, picking up the cake etc etc and for being so sweet and accommodating to all our demands. But as you said, it’s not often that you get to drive a group of females below the age of 70 around right ?  Yes, the photos, on its way to you, better late than never..

Dear Vincenzo,

Just a quick note to thank you for our tour of Sicily. We especially appreciate your flexibility when we had to adjust our timing due to the "mess" of the volcanic ash. 

Davide, our driver (and tour guide) did an excellent job.

He met us on time and immediately made it clear that we could set the days agenda.  Our friend, John, is a great fan of The Godfather" series.  Davide took us to the small village, church and of course the bar where the film was made.  It was no mean feat negotiating the twisty hill roads.  Davide was not deterred.  We all held our breath and trusted his skills. His efforts were greatly appreciated.  We took some very great 'photo's.

We then went to Taormina where we had about an hour free to roam on our own. We loved the quaint town and the time to explore at leisure..

Davide made sure that we were back to the ship well in time for the departure.

We had very limited time in Sicily.  Thanks to Davide and your company it was well spent and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We were so completely happy with our tour and we wanted to let you know that everything worked out well for us.  We returned safely to the US on Thursday.  Your enthusiasm and pride in Sicily and its many treasures were an important part of our enjoyment.  It was great to have the chance to see the antiquities and take time to enjoy them rather than rushing through - we appreciated your ability to adapt to our pace!  And you certainly chose some wonderful restaurants for us too!  We're not great photographers, but we thought you might enjoy a few photos.  Most of our pictures are of the sites, but we picked out a few with all of us in them.

On behalf of my friends and I, we wish to thank you for all the time and effort you put into our trip (Sicily's Historic and Cultural Tour and the Aeolian Islands of Lipari, Vulcano and Stromboli) from September 6th through the 24th. This was one of our first tour trips (I'm usually playing tour director) and it was outstanding. All or the guides really knew their stuff.  It was more than we expected. All our accommodations were excellent. Transportation was very comfortable.  We normally drive ourselves, and to not have to drive on those roads in Sicily and the islands was GREAT. All our connections getting to the Aeolian Islands, around the islands and back to Taormina and  the airport were right on time and welcoming after some of the boat rides.

All of your staff seemed to go out of their way to accommodate our needs. We would highly recommend your agency for anyone who is interested in seeing Sicily. An finally last but not least, Giuseppe, our tour guide, whom we had for the week of Sicily's Historic and Cultural Tour -  he was outstanding. We missed him on the weeks that followed when we were on our own.  Give that man a raise!  Once again THANK YOU for everything.

Please extend our thanks to all at Best of Sicily for a wonderful tour of Malta and Eastern Sicily.
Flora - our guide in Malta was very knowledgeable and accomodating.  Our drivers Raymond and Wayne were professional and handled the congested roads easily.

Our tour of Siracusa and Catania, on which we joined another of your tours with Giuseppe as the guide was likewise informative and comfortable.

The jeep ride at Mount Etna was fun but not very informative.  The guide had to make a detour into another town, which was out of our way, to pick-up another couple.  Also, the jeep tour ended much farther down the mountain than we has all expected,

The hotel in Malta was very nice but the room left much to be desired. It overlooked the steep driveway to the waterfront area - no view. However, the Hotel Lido Caporena in Toramina was excellent. It is too bad that we did not have any time to enjoy the beach, pool or spa.

Again, thanks for all of your assistance.  I will gladly give your firm the highest reference if you desire such a thing.

I am writing you this letter to let you know what a wonderful service your company provides.  My family and I recently visited Sicily for the first time and we utilized your services during our stay in Palermo.  We should have made all the tour arrangements through Around-Sicily.com because the tour guides and drivers were very informative, helpful, friendly and most of all made us feel welcome.  They all genuinely provided top-notch service.  This was better than we had even hoped for or anticipated.
I also want to point out that Lesley Pace (tour guide) and Salva (driver) went beyond the call of duty.  Lesley was an excellent and patient translator as well as an informative guide and Salva was a careful and friendly driver.  When our time came to depart I was almost in tears as I felt I was saying goodbye to two very dear friends.

And finally, a personal note of thanks to our "faithful guide and true friend" Giuseppe Brunetti.  He is the "Best" -- il ottimo!  He was so helpful and so accommodating to our every wish --even giving up his room one night to one of our party when their air conditioning wasn't working.  He was always friendly, personable and had great communication skills in imparting his vast knowledge of Sicily's people, culture and history.  As James said, we missed him on the rest of our fantastic journey through the Aeolian Islands and back in Taormina.  He is a true "treasure" to your tourist agency and we cannot thank him enough.

Hi Valentina,

I am sitting in the VIP lounge at MXP, waiting for our flight home... Very sad, because the trip has been wonderful!!

This is the first time I could write because we've been so busy. First, the Hotel Isabella in Taormina was perfect (great location, lovely room with a terrace, nice people at the reception and restaurant, and the best breakfast; eggs, bacon, croissants, breads, jams, fruits, meats, cheese- everything). We enjoyed our free day on my mother's 70th, too.

Then, believe it or not, the Etna tour was the BEST! Our guide, Francesco, picked us up in a 'real' jeep. He apologized,saying it wad the car they

used- not usually for guests. But, it was perfect- very real and authentic!

The whole trip was mad so fun by our guide. First, he is a younger student and guide, too- GREAT personality!!! He explained all about Etna, the area (he is from Linguaglossa?) And the natural beauty. We took all the back roads and barley- there roads up the lava rock and down paths. He helped my mom up and down the mountain when it was steep, so we could see more. He was really good and accommodating and spoke great English. Nice sense of humor, too. Lunch was wonderful!

I just wanted to THANK YOU so much for all you did to make this trip an absolutely incredible experience. It was first class all the way!

I just wanted to tell you how lovely our holiday was in Sicily. Our guide, Josephine, was really excellent, and she went out of her way to accomodate our every wish. The hotels were great choices - we especially liked the Plaza Opera in Palermo. The hotel in Taormina was beautiful, but the beds are quite hard and the pillows thin - we did not sleep very well. I am not complaining, I just thought you might want to know for future reference.

Mr Agrusa was an excellent tour guide. He was extremely kind, helpful, and cheerful throughout the entire trip. He spoke a very good English and went out of his way to make sure that each of us was comfortable and accommodated.
