Learning how to make pizza like an Italian is a great way to have fun, make friends, and learn a new skill that will not fail to impress your friends and family upon leaving Italy!The tour leader will be waiting in the centrally located office in Taormina to start the tour, and after wandering through the narrow streets of the historic center of Taormina, stop off in Piazza IX Aprile to admire the view. In this beautiful setting the professional “pizzaiolo” (pizza chef) will be waiting to present an introduction on the history of pizza. This includes an explanation of the various types of dough, flour, raising agents, proving of the pizza dough and the characteristics of Sicilian pizza. Learn how to make pizza dough, the tricks of the trade and how to make a light and tasty tomato sauce, how to use various types of toppings before proceeding to the oven where to get the hands-on experience and cook pizza!

This pizza dinner or lunch can only enhance your experience of Italy but with one very Sicilian ingredient added: the chance to make friends with travelers from all over the world. This activity is strongly recommended for families who want to teach their children all about Sicilian culture and traditions. - No reimbursement will be granted to any client who is not at the place of departure at the time established; similarly, no reimbursement will be granted to clients who lose contact with the guide or who do not complete the excursion.
