Today you are greeted at Ragusa hotel, then departure to Chiaramonte Gulfi area to start your food, wine and olive oil tour.
This area is famous for his extra-virgin olive oil produced from the “Tonda Iblea” olives; for his green color, low acidity and the strong fruity taste it has been awarded of the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) regulation to prevent his quality. Passing through countryside roads – a typical South-East Sicily landscape – you will reach an olive oil producer (“frantoio“) for a full visit and a final olive oil tasting.
After a short walking tour of Chiaramonte Gulfi, a small village famous for the Oil Museum (the visit is not included), you will reach a local restaurant to experience a typical Sicilian lunch.
In the afternoon you will move to a local wine producer where it will be explained all the transformation process of the grapes to produce wine. The special and unique product of this area is called “Cerasuolo di Vittoria“, a blend of Nero d’Avola and Frappato, the perfect wine for all the palates. After a walk in the vineyard, few glasses of wine together with small food tastes end your visit.
