This “Time Machine Experience” is an exciting opportunity to travel back in time! Join our tour and we will drive you to Buscemi, the “museum town” where you can learn how people were living and working a century ago: from the house of the farmer to the shop of the carpenter, all extremely well preserved. Following, we will drive to Palazzolo Acreide, an amazing ancient greek town with a downtown built in Barocco style, where you will join a Sicilian family at its home for a typical Sicilian lunch. After lunch, a sightseeing drive will take you to Noto, another gem of the Barocco style, for a walk in the downtown and a dessert.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
This private day-trip with local tour guide will give our guest the opportunity to learn how people used to live in Sicily about a century ago. Starting from Siracusa, a sightseeing drive will lead you along the country side, the hills and the vineyards on our confortable minivan, towards the Noto valley, for approximately forty minutes, toward Buscemi, named the “museum town”. We will visit the ethno-anthropological itinerary “the farmer work places”, that includes a visit of the museum dedicated to the artisanal works, and a tour of the places of the past: the farmer home, the millstone, the blacksmith shop, the carpenter shop, the shoemaker shop and other typical works of the time. You will learn how people used to work and live, within an environment incredibly well preserved.

Back to the minivan, we will drive you to Palazzolo Acreide, an ancient greek town founded in 650 BC, with a perfectly preserved greek teater and a downtown built in Barocco style, with two of the churches that recently became UNESCO heritage. You will enjoy a nice walk in the old town, before joining a Sicilian family for a lunch at home! We all will eat together a traditional Sicilian lunch, enjoying authentic home made food and hanging out with the locals in a friendly and relaxing environment.

After lunch, the minivan will drive you to the magnificent Noto, another gem built in Barocco style, for a walk in the downtown and a coffee and dessert in one of the ancient pastry shop.

Around 5pm the minivan will be ready to drive you back to your hotel, where you will arrive in approximately half an hour.
